Tasting Notes
The estate's old-vine cuv�e and made from 85% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre and 5% Syrah, the 2012 Ch�teauneuf du Pape Lucile Avril is a beauty. Full-bodied, ripe, layered and decadent, it has loads of black raspberry, garrigue, spice-box and crushed flower-like aromas and flavors. While there's lots of fruit and texture here, it stays nicely balanced, has good acidity and sweet tannin. Enjoy this rock-solid effort over the coming decade or more. Score - 93.
