Description
Of Greece's more than 200 indigenous grape varieties, Agiorgitiko is the most widely planted. Made from 100% Agiorgitiko, this classically styled wine consistently offers dark plum and vanilla backed by supportive tannins. It will be great with grilled lamb served with a tapenade of red pepper and kalamata olives.
Tasting Notes
Deep cherry red. Vanilla-laced dark fruit. Tannins are still pretty firm but it is starting to mellow. Traditional style in terms of structure and a bit tough even now. Distinguished. Drink Date: 2018-2022. Score - 16 (out of 20). (Julia Harding, MW, jancisrobinson.com, June 15, 2017)
