Tasting Notes
This is a very successful, well-made pinot noir that shows how well the variety does in parts of Niagara. (Coyote's Run's 'Red Paw' and 'Black Paw' pinots make the same point, of course.) The nose is focused and defined with some palpable delicacy, and the palate is a re-run. There's real depth to the fruit but it's light on its feet. It's very drinkable, such that you have to remember this is a serious, well-structured wine. All the components are balanced and they're well integrated now. Drink it through to the early 2020s.
