Tasting Notes

(Translated from the French) In the Tuchan commune in southern France, Grenache finds full expression alongside the Carignan grape. This wine places Grenache front and centre, and the grape's generosity is tempered by the impetuous character of the Carignan. Intense ruby in colour with violet hints. The nose presents spice and black fruit accompanied by toasted notes and vanilla. The upfront palate, with flavors of cherry and plum, shows a lot of power. The finish is long and warm. This wine will be best in three to four years, served with a rack of lamb. Score - 2 Stars (out of 3). (Guide Hachette, 2011)
