Tasting Notes
Made from estate vines grown on sandy soils, it has strong crimson colour, and showcases the very good 2010 vintage - this is a genuinely lovely wine. It has vibrant red and black fruit aromas and flavours, a pinch of McLaren Vale chocolate, but above all else a fine, filigreed texture from high quality tannins and a dab of oak. It's so well balanced most will be drunk before its best-by date 10+ years away, but so what? Drink until 2020. Score - 94. (James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, June 18, 2011)
