Tasting Notes
A very appealing wine, with lovely notes of spice, black raspberry, blackberry, poppy seed, and a touch of cedar on the nose. Nice depth of dark cherry on the palate. Very well made, demonstrating an impressive balance between the tannins and fruit throughout, and culminating in a dry finish. Perfect on a chilly winter's eve when paired with aged cheeses and warmed toasted walnuts, or with a veal stew. (VINTAGES panel, April 2012)
