Tasting Notes
A very fine, cellar-worthy yet approachable Cru Beaujolais. Handsome purple colour in the glass, with aromas of cherry pie, strawberry and woodsmoke. Dry, fruity with velvety tannins and mouth-wateringly bright acidity. Impressive now, it will evolve well for 3-5 years. This will make a terrific red wine for grilled fish, or savour alongside turkey with a chestnut and sausage stuffing. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2012)
