Description
The first wine Peter Lehmann ever sold when he struck out on his own was called 'The Futures' and was sold according to the Bordeaux model; the Futures line of premium Barossa wines are named for that initial offering. As his label states, 'My Word is My Bond.'
Tasting Notes
Always the innovator, Lehmann rounds out his Shiraz here not with Viognier, but with the increasingly rare third white variety of Bordeaux, Muscadelle. Bursting with lovely dark fruit and vanilla, along with savoury herbs and floral overtones. There's tons of ripeness on the palate, with a medium-full body and a nice round texture.
