Tasting Notes
An impressive Napa Valley Merlot. Deep ruby in the glass with suggestions of dark chocolate cake, French vanilla, black cherry and roasted coffee. Full bodied with surprisingly bright acidity giving cut amidst a densely concentrated wall of dark fruit, chocolate and huge, ripe tannins. Still quite grippy with a long finish. Obviously youthful, but obviously promising. Give this 3-5 years in cellar or decant and serve with blackened beef. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2012)
