Tasting Notes
A blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2012 Avatar Fragrant nose of spice raspberry preserves, red currant jelly and dried mulberries with hints of allspice, red roses and dusty earth. Full-bodied with tons of rich, red berry preserves and baking spice flavors, it shows a medium level of soft tannins and lively acid before finishing very long and spicy. Drink it now to 2019+.
