The Briottet clan have run their beverage alcohol business since 1836. They were originally wine merchants, but also became important developers of the product we now know as Crème de Cassis. Today, Crème de Cassis represents more than 60% of their business. This top-end product is neither cloyingly sweet nor does it have noticeable alcohol. It is a fine chilled sipper on its own after dinner, or enjoy it in a classic Kir Royale. With a product this fine, use Champagne in the Royale, not just ordinary sparkling wine.
