Tasting Notes
The 2008 Damalisco Crianza from Toro is 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) aged for 10 months in new French and American oak. It offers up a lightly roasted, liqueur-like nose of ripe black fruits, toasty oak, and violets. Layered on the palate with some opulence, it makes up in power what it lacks in subtlety.
