Tasting Notes
This barrel fermented chardonnay from the hot, ripe 2010 has bright deep colour and very generous spicy, nutmeg and resinous nose with pretty floral notes and ripe pineapple fruit. Almost Californian in its ripeness and richness. The texture is smooth yet firm on the finish; the length is excellent, if a bit nutty and resinous at this point. I would age it a year; should hang on for three to five years. Score - 89. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Feb. 2012)
