Tasting Notes

The wine tradition on the island of Hvar dates to 384 BC. The Plavac Mali grape thrives here, and is responsible for many of Croatia's most noted wines. This one has pretty violet aromas off the top with cedar, prune, and strawberry. The palate is quite pleasurable and gives more cedar, strawberry, and wild red fruits before closing with a lingering and dry finish. Enjoy with a peppered beef dish. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2012)
