Tasting Notes
Located in the same part of Tuscany as Brunello di Montalcino, but requiring less time in oak, and approachable much earlier, this offers almond, marzipan, cherry, cedar and a touch of chocolate on the nose. The palate is quite fruit-forward with dark cherry fruit and cedar with a touch of chocolate. Crisp acidity and well integrated tannins complete the package. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2012)
