A site-typical scent and succulent juiciness of ripe nectarine informs Vollenweider's 2009 Krover Steffensberg Riesling Spatlese, a veritable picture of polish, purity, and lift that is shot-through with invigorating, saliva-inducing, saline savor. While this is not an enormously complex Spatlese, it is a phenomenally generous, impeccably-balanced, and utterly irresistible. I would anticipate at least 15 years of delight from it. Score - 92.
