Tasting Notes
Some sediment is evident, so the wine should be decanted before enjoying.The nose here is quite complex, with hickory, sour cherry, wild blueberry, blackberry and violets wonderfully represented. The palate is chewy and tightly structured. Sinewy tannins wrap around a bright berry-fruit core. This will reward a further 2 years' cellaring, or can be enjoyed tonight, decanted for one hour and served with rare steak. (VINTAGES panel, May 2013)
