Tasting Notes
This new chardonnay from the Pacific cooled Limari Valley has a slightly closed dusty cedary nose with lemon wax, green apple/pineapple fruit, and a touch of wasabi/ginger. It's slim, fresh and a bit sweet - quite tender in feel, but lively, with that same dusty/earthy finish (two bottles) that drops the rating a bit. It's not unpleasant but just not as bright and engaging as I suspect it could be. Score - 85. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Oct. 2012)
