Tasting Notes
There is a hint of matchstick character to the otherwise classic Chassagne aromatic profile of yellow orchard fruit, resin and an herbal/earth element. The generous, muscular and solidly well-concentrated flavors possess plenty of dry extract that serves to buffer the firm acidity and add body to the linear, firm and dry but not really austere finish. This is less fine than the Champs Gain but compensates with more volume and power. A qualitative choice. Drink 2020+. Score - 91. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, June 15, 2015)
