Tasting Notes
Mountain Door 2011 malbec from Mendoza, Argentina is a great find for your palate and pocketbook. Old vines in its 200 acre vineyard are often 60 years old and reflect the ancient, glacial mountain terroir. Dark, intensely flavored grapes belie its youthfulness. Fruit scents of raspberries and cherries cloud the nose. Plum, blackberry and a hint of licorice flavors crescendo in a strong finish.
