Tasting Notes
Pale straw color. Dried lemon, quinine and kerosene on the pungent nose, with a hint of white pepper coming up slowly with air. Dry and nervy on the palate, offering zesty citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a touch of bitter herbs. In a firm, incisive style, with no excess fat and good closing bite. I'd serve this refreshingly bitter fat-free riesling with raw or simply adorned shellfish, or maybe young, fresh goat or sheep milk cheeses. Score - 88. (Josh Raynolds, vinousmedia.com, 14-Jul)
