Tasting Notes
Aquinas' flagship wine, the Philospher's Blend, is only produced in years when the fruit is judged to be truly exceptional. The 2009 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Sirah and was aged for 36 months. The resulting wine is refined and approachable with notable aromas and flavours of vanilla, cherry and earth, with some sweet fruit notes on the mid-palate. No argument here - this is a well-thought-out, structured and convincing composition. (VINTAGES panel, June 2013)
