Tasting Notes
(70% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot) Bright red-ruby. Cassis, blackberry, licorice, chocolatey oak and violet on the nose, with a suggestion of almost liqueur-like ripeness. Then extremely fine-grained and suave on the palate, showing insidious intensity and captivating inner-mouth floral lift to its dark berry and licorice flavors. A prime example of the slow, steady ripening that was possible in the 2013 growing season. Finishes classically dry and rather powerful, with sweet tannins and excellent length.
