Description
Made from 100% kiln-dried Cabernet Franc, this will be a powerful, full-bodied, bold and intense wine, but will possess such balance and vibrancy that the palate will never seem overpowered by any one element. Lush and smooth, you can expect to uncover long, rich notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit and roasted peppers. A good choice for grilled steak.
Tasting Notes
The flagship red of Burning Kiln is made from kiln-dried appassimento fruit, aged in Eastern European and American oak. It is rich and smooth and a touch sweet and warm. It is powered by 15.9% alcohol but the heat is not excessive. Look for milk chocolate, cedar, savoury and ripe rhubarb pie/raspberry pie. The length is excellent and focused. Very rich. Score - 91.
