Tasting Notes
The Malagousia grape was virtually extinct only a short while ago, but fortunately this exceptionally aromatic varietal experienced a revival in the 20th century. The 2014 Alpha Estate Axia shows the grape's aromatic nature beautifully with delicate florals accentuated by lemon and lime citrus notes. Crisp, soft and fresh with good balance and length, this will be a fine match for seafood dishes or summer salads. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2014)
