Tasting Notes
Nice combination of concentration and focus here. Deep ruby-purple in the glass with aromas of blueberry, blackberry, vanilla and sweet spices. Medium-full bodied and robust with a big plush core of fruit, just as you expect from Zinfandel, yet the acidity and ripe, round tannins keep this wine impressively precise. Nice lingering, spice-accented fruit finish. Drink over the next 3 years with back ribs, pork tenderloin or gourmet burgers. (VINTAGES panel, Jan. 2012)
