Description
As with most Portuguese reds, the Catapereiro Escolha is primarily a blend of exotic-sounding indigenous varieties, in this case Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet, with some Syrah in support. This will be a spicy and complex wine that will show good focus and consistency. A good value wine that will be great with grilled pork.
Tasting Notes
A big, ripe and spicy wine that is full of red fruit notes and gentle tannins. It is open and accessible, its fruit juiciness already a pleasure to taste. There is fresh acidity on the finish.
