Tasting Notes
The nose has a little more race and vigor than the 1965 with hints of fresh strawberry, rose water, dried apricot and a slight adhesive note. The palate is medium-bodied with good weight and harmony. This is a very feminine, sensual Banyuls with lovely fruitcake, white pepper, ginger and marmalade. It is very refined on the finish but perhaps misses the 'thrust' of more powerful vintages.
