Tasting Notes
The Barde-Haut is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc (the latter currently being replanted.) It has an outgoing and pure bouquet with mineral-rich black fruit that is very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe tannins, hints of blueberry and blackcurrant pastille embroidered around the fine structure on the finish. Probably about the best wine you could have made in the growing season. Tasted April 2014. Score - 90-92. (Neal Martin, robertparker.com)
