Tasting Notes
The limited edition Mountain Series wines are that offer unique insight into the Napa Valley mountain appellations. The vineyards are situated at an elevation that places them above the fog line, allowing them to maximize sun exposure and cool temperatures. The vineyards at this elevation produce small berries, increasing the ration of skin to juice, permitting superb extraction and concentration in the final wines. The wines undergo extensive maceration, lasting weeks, and are then aged in French oak for 22 months prior to bottling. These factors combine to produce the complexity, depth and impressive ripe fruit and spice notes that define this focused and intense wine.
