Description
The Select Vineyards range are small-batch wines that seek to explore unique expressions of both New Zealand's benchmark varieties and those that are relatively new to the country. Each is named, often cheekily, to reflect their vineyards of origin. Gimblett Gravels provided the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon here, while the red metal soils of the Roy's Hill vineyard, in the Bridge Pa Triangle, supplied the Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The resulting wine has a notable Bordeaux manner and food-friendly style. It will be a fine match for lamb, or beef stews.
