Tasting Notes
A selection from vines averaging 60 years of age, this wine seems to offer mostly oak at first, but after a few hours of air it develops into a delicious expression of Toro. The oak transforms into fine details of spice covering a layer of red fruit flavors, radiant in their freshness, then buried under an avalanche of tannins that radiate their own form of energy. Don't touch this wine for at least five years; it needs long bottle age for the tannins to mellow. Score - 93. (wineandspiritsmagazine.com, June 2014)
