Tasting Notes
Finca Sobreno's Crianza has been a perennial Best Buy in these pages and the 2008 is no exception. Made from 100% Tinta de Toro and aged for 7 months in American oak, this purple/black colored wine offers up a slightly restrained nose of cedar, violets, licorice, and blackberry. Ripe and layered on the palate, this powerful effort will evolve for 2-3 years and drink well through 2020. Score - 89+. (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, June 2011)
