The 2013 Arinto Colheita Seleccionada comes in at 12.5% alcohol, with 4.5 grams per liter of residual sugar, just a touch over legally dry - you won't notice - and drier than last year. This is a pretty solid Arinto. The winery in fact has been consistently doing a nice job with them. It usually is my favorite of their selections - or at least tied for first. So, too, this year. It is not a big boy, perhaps, but a wine that nonetheless feels substantial in the mouth for this region and well-focused. This resolves into a pretty typical table wine, as opposed to very fizzy Vinho Verde, that should drink well and make everyone happy, from casual picnic drinkers to geeks. It may well last longer, but drink it fresh and young for best results. It is another nice value point in this lineup. Drink now-2017. Score - 88. (Mark Squires, erobertparker.com, Aug. 2014)
