Tasting Notes
Very much a youngster, even after five-and-a-half years on its lees. A blend of 52% Pinot Noir and 48% Chardonnay, 2012 has the potential for some of the best Pinot Noir since 1952. With vivid shafts of gold colour, this displays intensity without heaviness, a poised vinosity and lovely acidity. It will live well for another decade and is a great match for roast game, bouillabaisse, dressed crab and scallops. The dosage of 10g/l is quite conventional, suiting a structured wine for a long life. Drinking window: 2021-2030. Score - 94. (Michael Edwards, decanter.com, July 7, 2019)
