Tasting Notes
Once a popular blending grape, Nero d'Avola is finding great success as a varietal wine, such as this one from Feudo Arancio - who incidentally produce only single-varietal wines. The nose here is lovely and ripe, with lots of black and red fruit and a perfectly pitched underlying earthy tone. The palate is again ripe with plenty of fruit, as well as earth and nutty tones. Quite zesty and easy drinking. A good-value wine that will be lovely paired with grilled meats. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2015)
