Description
The Awatere Valley is the most geographically distinct sub-region of Marlborough. Situated south of the Wairau Valley and stretching inland from the sea, the valley is cool, dry and windy. These conditions are ideal for crafting Alsatian-style Pinot Gris, of which this is a prime example. Look for a rich but fresh and balanced wine that will deliver bright citrus, floral and mineral tones.

Tasting Notes
100% Pinot Gris. Quite restrained nose with a soup�on of smoke and tangerine peel. Fresh, spritzy palate with a chorus of pears and peaches. Great persistence, yet the alcohol pokes through. Score - 91. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2017)
