Tasting Notes
Cropped from a wetter and cooler vintage, the 2011 Taita shows more evident tannins. The granite soils where the three hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon were planted in 2002 had been a glacier and are quite different from the rest of Marchig�e in Colchagua. The place allows for dry farming of the vines. Since 2010, the �levage of this special cuv�e is two years in 80% new barriques followed by four years in bottle. 2011 was a cool, low yielding year that produced a wine in line with the 2010; but it still feels a little too young, and the tannins need a little more time in bottle to get polished. In any case, the 2010 is being released now and the 2011 will not be sold until 2018. Drink Date: 2019-2027. Score - 93. (Luis Guti�rrez, robertparker.com, April 28, 2017)
