The Shiraz for this wine is sourced from Kaesler vineyards planted in 1899 and 1965. The wines are matured for 15 months in French oak. A fine wine for grilled Angus or Kobe beef.
Tasting Notes
... Aromas of lavender, Asian spices, underbrush, bacon, game, and blueberry lead to a ripe, full-bodied, succulent Shiraz in need of a bit more depth. It is a solid effort lacking the richness and concentration of the top vintages. Score - 91. (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2009)
