The 2011 Edicion Limitada Carignan is sourced from a dry-farmed, un-grafted old vineyard in Maule planted more than 60 years ago. The wine has a higher percentage of French than American oak, and is still marked by notes of sweet spices, vanilla, cinnamon intermixed with notes of acid red fruit, chocolate, smoke, peat and aromatic herbs, in a medium-bodied palate that has some dusty tannins with high acidity.
