Tasting Notes
The 80+-year-old vines, planted at an elevation of over 500m, have given the wine far better colour and intensity than is usual; open-fermentation, basket pressing and maturation in French oak have resulted in the best Clare Valley grenache I have ever tasted, with intense red fruits and rare drive, the tannins superfine, but important in shaping this lovely wine.
