Tasting Notes
This wine is a blend that centres around the Encruzado variety, which, besides sounding like the inspiration for this winery's name, is believed to be indigenous to the Dão region. It's prized as the region's most age-worthy white wine grape and tends to take on notes of hazelnut and pine resin. This one is still exuberantly youthful, showing aromas and flavours of green apple, citrus and pear, with a touch of saline minerality. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2015)
