Tasting Notes
Notes of pungent earth and menthol add breadth to the red and dark pinot fruit aromas. There is ample mid-palate fat to the rich, round and seductively textured flavors that possess ample quantities of structure-buffering dry extract, all wrapped in a mildly rustic but superbly complex and lingering finish. This is genuinely outstanding and at the prices for which examples of Monthelie typically sell at it should offer excellent value. Outstanding. Drink: 2017+. Score - 90-92.
