Bright, deep red. Complex, scented aromas of plum, iron, earth, tobacco and dried flowers, accented by peppery spices. Juicy and penetrating, with a wild, meaty aspect to the musky flavors of redcurrant, iron and mocha. Finishes classically dry and savory, with firm tannic spine and mineral-driven soil tones. I might have picked this complex and classy Pommard blind as a Rugiens. Score - 92. (Stephen Tanzer, vinous.com, March 2014)
