Description
In 1987, Paul Dolan sampled Sauvingon Blanc grapes that came from two blocks of the same vineyard. One had been treated with conventional pesticides while the other had been grown organically. Already sensitive to the consequences of pesticides on the environment, Dolan was shocked to taste the impact of the pesticides on the flavours of grapes. This experience forever changed his thinking about grape growing. Our Quality Assurance laboratory has determined that this wine contains 10 mg/L of free sulphur.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass with aromas of green apples, fresh-cut grass and gooseberry. The palate is dry and expertly balanced, with a nutty note mid-palate. This versatile wine will pair well with pan-fried or lightly smoked trout, or even a mild curry dish. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2010)
