Tasting Notes
A fairly big, tannic wine for the year, the 2014 Beauregard is going to require at least a few years in the cellar to fully come together. Today, it is the wine's imposing tannic structure and expressive aromatics - both signatures of Cabernet Franc - that dominate. Sweet herbs, licorice, rose petal and anise add nuance on the firm, unyielding finish. There is plenty to admire in the Beauregard, but readers will have to be patient. Score - 89-92.
