Bright medium amber brown colour; pronounced aromas of caramel, spice, peat, oak shavings and earth with hints of rancio, dried apricot/apple and pipe tobacco; dryish, medium bodied, rich and smooth on the palate, with flavours of dried fruit, baking spice and peat; long, lingering but subtle finish.
Serving Suggestions
Try with simple appetizers to highlight the smooth complexity of the whisky; or serve in a snifter after a fine meal as a contemplative whisky.
