Pinot Noir has established itself as one of Monterey's top performers. The Loredona, or 'lady flower,' delivers a full-fruited nose rich in cherry, raspberry, earth and dried spices. The palate is dry, balanced and quite lively with more suggestions of raspberry, cherry, cranberry, earth and spice. This is an elegant wine, with soft tannins and a medium-long finish, that would gracefully complement grilled duck or veal tenderloin. (VINTAGES panel, May 2011)
