Tasting Notes
The Friesland Premium Red is a classy, structured and silky wine, full-bodied and well balanced. The Merlot (64%) brings soft tannins, coffee and plum flavours to the blend, with the Cabernet Sauvignon (36%) component adding structure and flavours of berries and chocolate. The wine was fermented in open concrete fermenters in Steenkamp cellar and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months.
