Description
Red wines from Nemea can only be made with the deeply coloured, fruity Agiorgitiko variety. This expression has a complex nose with aromas suggesting spice, red and black fruit, vanilla bean and ripe plum. It is dry, ripe and round with just enough tannin to give it balance. Match it with lamb dishes.
Tasting Notes
Red wines from the Nemea region must be 100% Agiorgitiko. This one has quite a serious nose of black cherry, dried berries, pine, woodspice, tar and a lifted coconut note. The palate is quite smooth with firm, structured tannins. This will easily cellar for another 3+ years or can be enjoyed tonight as part of a meal featuring lamb. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2012)
